Louvre Abu Dhabi I’ve been spending quite a lot of time in the Middle East, and have to take my hat off to the Emiraties for their ambition. The new Louvre, designed by Jean Nouvel, which will be built on Saadiyat Island is one of the most exciting architectural projects I have seen for years. Along with Tadao Ando, Zaha Hadid, and Frank Gehry this is arguably the most interesting and significant cultural and architectural development ever.
